Tips For You
Research shows that at least 20 minutes of reading a day improves reading skills and student vocabulary. So, how does this happen in our hectic world? Read at bed time, create a special reading time where everyone at home picks up a book or magazine to read, let them read to you, use their interests, indulge them in a sports magazine, the
latest fashion trends, what-ever peaks their interests. Just keep them reading!
When you have a question or concern about how your child is doing; don't wait. Contact your child's teacher and let the teacher know that you would like to meet. Starting the conversation is the fist step to your child's continued success.
Homework time needs a specific space and routine. Make sure your child knows what your expectations are during homework. Remember, homework is only complete when it is safely back in the bag, so that it has a chance of making it onto the teacher's desk.
